Have you ever asked, “How can I know God’s will for my life?” I know I have… many times!

Before my wife, Jennifer, and I started Church of the King, I remember us praying together asking God to speak. You see, we were in youth ministry living in New Orleans at the time, yet we felt God calling us to start a church. As we cried out to the Lord, He spoke to us about moving to Mandeville, Louisiana and starting Church of the King. Next month will make 25 years since then and we’re amazed by how God has moved!

Friend, I can confidently say there is no better way to live than surrendering your will to God’s will! You see, God has a clear, unique plan for your life. 1 John 2:17 says, And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.In other words, align your world with God’s will, and you will see an eternal impact through your life!

Today, I’d like to share with you Four Ds that will help you see your purpose and discover God’s personal will for your life:

• Your Desires — What’s the deepest desire of your heart? If you could do anything in the world, what would you do? What would you do if you didn’t need to get paid?

• Your Design — How did God create you? What gifts and abilities are within you?

• Others’ Definition — What do people see in you? What do the godly, mature people in your life perceive in you?

• The Holy Spirit’s Direction — What is the Holy Spirit specifically saying to you?
