As a boy, I always wanted to win. I was super competitive as a young person! If I was losing, I would just throw the Monopoly game in the air. If I couldn’t be the best or win every time, I would often refuse to play. I had to win every prize and be the best… but my goals were off!
You see, I didn’t understand true success. From God’s perspective, success is:
Knowing God intimately.
Becoming who God created you to be.
Doing what God has called you to do.
The first step to success is having a vibrant, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Then, we take the next steps—becoming all He created us to be and doing what He’s called us to do. This only happens when we push through the fear of failure!
The fear of failure often leads us to ask, “What will people think of me if I swing for the fence… and miss?” We all face this fear at some point and must make an important decision—will we surrender to our fears or faith? Hebrews 11:6 says, But without faith it is impossible to please Him…
Friend, you cannot play it safe and become all God has called you to be.
We must step out in faith and persist! Successful people don’t give up and give in. They keep pressing until they experience a breakthrough. However, true persistence doesn’t just come from your willpower alone. It’s a combination of your willpower and God’s Word power coming together!
The Apostle Paul said in Romans 10:17, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Remember, the more you speak the Word over your life, the more your faith is built! To discover how Joshua overcame the fear of failure in the Old Testament and learn how you can do the same today, dive into this message with me…
