Growing up, I was always involved in competitive sports. I tend to be highly driven and live with a play-to-win mentality—if there’s a competition, you can bet I’ll give it my all!

Did you know God actually desires for each of us to walk in victory—to win in life? It brings God great joy when you walk out the triumphant victory Christ won for us! You see, real victory is not attained by performing and striving in our own strength—but through receiving the abundant grace and supernatural power God has given us through the cross.

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us that a vital part of walking in this victory is learning how to stand against temptations from the enemy—traps that often target our own selfish and impure motives.

God allows these temptations and tests to reveal what is within us—to prove and mature us—but in temptation, God seeks to strengthen us so we can live in victory!
