God Hasn't Given Up On You
April 25, 2025
“So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”
Luke 15:20
Before I met Jesus, I was living like a prodigal. Deep down, I knew the truth—I had been raised to know God, and my parents loved me—but I wanted to do things my way. At 19, I hit my lowest point. Confused, empty, and directionless, I remember asking myself: What am I even doing with my life? Why am I here? I can’t keep living like this.
Maybe you’ve felt that same ache. Maybe you’re feeling it right now.
That’s why one of my favorite stories Jesus told is the Parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15. It’s about a young man who walked away from everything—his father, his values, his purpose—and found himself starving and alone. He had hit rock bottom. And yet, that’s exactly where grace met him.
When we try to live life on our own terms, we often end up empty. We are created to find our ultimate fulfillment in a relationship with God. The things we desire the most—love, joy, and peace—are first found in a loving relationship with our Heavenly Father.
The Good News is—no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, God’s love, joy, and peace are still there waiting for you! You’re never too far. Never!
Let’s unpack this powerful story of redemption together…
